Course Duration: 5 days (face-to-face) + Independent Online Study

Course Structure: This intensive Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice course is designed for individuals who already hold their Certificate of Registration in Real Estate and are looking to upgrade to a Class 2 Licence. Our blended program combines five full days of face-to-face, interactive learning with supplemental online study materials to satisfy the educational requirements for the Class 2 Real Estate Licence. The course will be structured as follows:

  • Face-to-face Sessions: Participants are required to attend five days of in-class training. These sessions will focus on practical skills and core knowledge needed in the real estate industry. Engaging learning methods, such as discussions, case studies, and simulations will be used.
  • Independent Online Study: In addition to the face-to-face sessions, participants are required to complete online modules and assessments independently. These materials will be available before, during, and after the face-to-face sessions, allowing participants to learn at their own pace.

Course Overview

This is one of the requirements to obtain a Class 2 Licence. This course is suitable for individuals who have completed their Certificate of Registration in Real Estate (Assistant Agent) and who would like to obtain their Class 2 Licence and become a Licensed Real Estate Agent in NSW. A class 2 agent will be able to work in both commercial and residential sales and leasing.

The main purpose of this program is to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to work in the Real Estate industry as a licensed agent working under a licensee-in-charge. The knowledge and skills acquired through the program are applicable across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial property types.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment and Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) (Release 3) for completing 13 units of competency. Individuals who hold Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice qualify to apply for a Class 2 Licence with NSW Fair Trading.In order to be eligible to make an application with NSW Fair Trading to become a Licensed Agent (Class 2 Real Estate Agents Licence), you must have evidence of 12 month’s work experience (evidence of competence to be provided by Licensee-in-Charge) as an Assistant Agent in Real Estate and must complete the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419).

  • CPPREP4123 Manage tenancy
  • CPPREP4124 End tenancy
  • CPPREP4125 Transact in trust accounts
  • CPPREP4161 Undertake pre-auction processes
  • CPPREP4162 Conduct and complete sale by auction
  • CPPREP4163 Complete post-auction process and contract execution

Entry Requirements

While there are no formal prerequisites for this course, to ensure you get the most out of your learning experience with us, the following requirements must be met:

  1. You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrolment and must have sufficient English language skills to complete the course.
  2. You should possess basic technological literacy and have access to the Microsoft Office suite or an equivalent software package.

Course Duration

Students will have a maximum of six (6) months to complete the course via face to face and online, self-paced learning.

The course start date is taken as the date students receive the course material. If students do not complete the course within the six (6) month timeframe, the enrolment will be cancelled. Students may apply for an extension for an extra fee. Please refer to the student handbook for details on requesting extensions.

Credit Transfer/RPL

Students are entitled to apply for Credit Transfer for units they have already successfully completed, or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if they can demonstrate relevant skills and experience, ensuring prior achievements are acknowledged and reducing duplication of learning. International/Overseas Students

Those possessing Subclass 500 visas, or any visas that expire on or before the anticipated course completion date, are not eligible to enrol with AUSCBT.

If any individual with a Subclass 500 visa or a visa that has a conflicting expiration date attempts to register, the enrolment will be cancelled and an administration fee of 25% will be charged to any student attempting to enrol.
