Auctioneer Accreditation Course (NSW)
Course Overview
The Auctioneer Accreditation Course is designed for licensed real estate professionals who wish to become accredited auctioneers in New South Wales.
Under the NSW property licensing framework, individuals must hold a Class 1 or Class 2 Real Estate Agent Licence and complete the required auctioneer units of competency to apply for Auctioneer Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading.
Delivered online through self-paced learning, this course provides the knowledge and practical skills required to conduct property auctions professionally and compliantly. Students will learn how to prepare for auctions, conduct auction campaigns and auction events, manage bidding processes, and complete post-auction procedures in accordance with legislative and ethical requirements.
The course comprises of three nationally recognised units of competency from the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) qualification.
Units of Competency
- CPPREP4161 – Undertake pre-auction processes
- CPPREP4162 – Conduct and complete sale by auction
- CPPREP4163 – Complete post-auction process and contract execution
Entry Requirements
While there are no formal prerequisites for this course, to ensure you get the most out of your learning experience with us, the following requirements must be met:
- You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of enrolment and must have sufficient English language skills to complete the course.
- You should possess basic technological literacy and have access to the Microsoft Office suite or an equivalent software package.
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, a NSW Class 1 or Class 2 Real Estate Agent Licence if intending to apply for Auctioneer Accreditation with NSW Fair Trading.
Students should note that completion of this course alone does not grant Auctioneer Accreditation. Applicants must satisfy all NSW Fair Trading eligibility requirements at the time of application.
Course Duration
Students will have a maximum of six (6) months to complete the course via online, self-paced learning.
The course start date is taken as the date students receive the course material. If students do not complete the course within the six (6) month timeframe, the enrolment will be cancelled. Students may apply for an extension for an extra fee. Please refer to the student handbook for details on requesting extensions.
We are nationally accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the national vocational education and training regulator. This means that you are ensured that you will receive a high-quality standard of training in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
The units delivered within this course are nationally recognised and form part of the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice training package. Successful students will receive a Statement of Attainment for the completed units.

International/Overseas Students
Those possessing Subclass 500 visas, or any visas that expire on or before the anticipated course completion date, are not eligible to enrol with AUSCBT.
If any individual with a Subclass 500 visa or a visa that has a conflicting expiration date attempts to register, the enrolment will be cancelled and an administration fee of 25% will be charged to any student attempting to enrol.
